How We Research
We start with a real household task and work backwards to the capabilities needed to do it.
1. Define the use case
We identify installation, compatibility, capacity and maintenance requirements. A pool skimmer and a submerged cleaner are not treated as interchangeable.
2. Identify the exact model
We record brand, model, region, generation and official documentation. Manufacturer values are reported as claims. Unknown specifications stay not confirmed.
3. Separate capability from performance
A suction rating, slope claim or navigation label cannot establish comparative cleaning quality. Performance rankings require comparable evidence; we withhold winners where that evidence is missing.
4. Explain the tradeoffs
Useful advice includes who should consider a product, who should skip it and what must be checked before buying. A long feature list does not automatically win.
5. Keep records current
We review records when specifications, availability, warranty or important competitors change. Dates describe real preparation or changes. No laboratory scores, stars or invented aggregate ratings are used.
